Mi Pueblo Scholarship Program
Sponsoring Organization: Mi Pueblo Food Center and the Chicana Latina Foundation of Northern California
Amount: $500-$2,500

Description: For over 12 years, Mi Pueblo has been committed to supporting highly motivated, young people as they pursue their dreams of a college education. From our perspective, education is absolutely the best way we can support our customers and community for a brighter tomorrow.
Applicants must be a graduating high school senior residing in one of the following counties: Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Merced, Monterey, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, San Mateo, Stanislaus, and Solano. They must demonstrate educational motivation and commitment to compete on a collegiate level and have earned a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average. Applicants must demonstrate community service efforts and demonstrate financial need.

Gem of a Girl Scholarship - Sonoma, Lake and Mendocino Counties
Sponsoring Organization: Schmidt and Wieck Families
Amount: $1000
Date Due: April 13, 2012
Description: The Gem of a Girl Scholarship is a combination of two scholarships from the legacy Girl Scouts of Konocti Council (Sonoma, Mendocino and Lake Counties). The girl selected will receive a $1,000.00 check to be given to the educational institution of her choice.
Applicants must be seniors in high school (or equivalent) who are registered, active girl members of Girl Scouts residing in Sonoma, Lake or Mendocino Counties. Applications are due to the Santa Rosa office by April 15.
This scholarship has been and continues to be funded by the Schmidt Family. We are grateful for their continued support of our outstanding girls.
Professional BusinessWomen of California Academic Scholarship

Description: The Professional BusinessWomen of California (PBWC) is offering three academic scholarships to California female High School Seniors. Additional scholarships will be awarded if funding permits. The scholarship award will be sent directly to a designated accredited program. Scholarship winner must be present on May 15th at the San Francisco Moscone West Center in order to receive the award. All completed applications and supporting documentation must be submitted electronically and received by 5:00PM March 9, 2012. Scholarship winners will be notified by April 25, 2012. Amount: $2,000 - One 2-year scholarship each year payable at $1,000 per year.
$1,000 - Four scholarships per year payable at $1,000 each
$500 - Three scholarships per year payable at $500 each

Description: Seniors in High School who are children of parents who was/are in the Armed Forces of the United States during any of the following periods: April 6, 1917 to November 11, 1918; December 7, 1941 to December 31, 1946; June 25, 1950 to January 31, 1955; February 28, 1961 to May 7, 1975; August 24, 1982 to July 31, 1984; December 20, 1989 to January 31, 1990; August 2, 1990 to the date of cessation of hostilities as determined by the government of the United States. The Stephanie Brown Cadet Memorial Foundation Scholarship

Amount: $1,000 each year (renewable up to four years) to students who are exemplary at volunteering time in community service.

Society of Women Engineers Scholarship
Sponsoring Organization: The Santa Clara Valley section of Society of Women Engineers
Amount: $1,000 to qualified high school seniors, college and re-entry students pursuing a BS or MS in engineering.

Description: Scholarships open to qualified female high school seniors, college and re-entry students pursuing a BS or MS in engineering. The applicants must be a permanent resident of or attend school in South San Francisco Bay Area.
