What's your travel story?

Read the following scenarios and choose the story that best fits your travel desires:

Troop Trips:  Daisy, Brownie, Junior, Cadette, Senior, and Ambassador

"Your troop has been having a good time at your meetings but are ready for a little bit more.  You are thinking about a field trip, maybe meeting at a new location like a pizza place for a tour, having a slumber party at a hotel, or even a  weekend camping trip.  You've been brainstorming with your troop and now you are ready to put your plan into action!"

Extended Travel:  Junior, Cadette, Senior, Ambassador

"Your troop has taken weekend trips to locations close to home and are now ready to take the next steps to expand their horizons and explore the world.  You have been brainstorming and came up with some possible trips to take.  A 3-night camping trip to the High Sierras, a 5-day trip to explore college campuses, an extended trip to an amusement park, or maybe a 10-day trip to Europe.  At this point, you just want to figure out what's required so you can make the best possible decision as a group."

Girl Scout destinations: Cadette, Senior, Ambassador

"You are ready to travel on your own to other places within the United States or internationally to meet new people and learn new skills.  There's a world outside your window, just waiting for you to explore it.  You remember your troop leader or mom talking about their own Wider Ops travel as a girl and heard that it is now called destinations. You want to know more about how you can get in on these GSUSA sponsored travel opportunities."

Council Trips:  Junior, Cadette, Senior, Ambassador

"You want to travel as an individual girl or troop with Girl Scouts from your own council, but don't want to do all the planning of a trip.  You are looking for a planned trip that you can get in on.  You heard there are a few trips already planned and in place for California, the United States, and internationally. Now you just need to know how to join the adventure."  

Troop Trips  

A trip is defined as any time your group has an activity at a time or location other than your regularly scheduled meeting place. This includes any change of troop meeting time or location as well as any day trips, field trips of overnight trips.

Extended Travel

Any trips of three nights or longer is considered Extended Travel. Council training is requires by at least one adult who will be a part of the planning process and participating in the trip. This should be completed at least 9 months prior to departure for domestic trips and 2 years for international trips.

Destinations travel adventures, which range from two days to three weeks are for all Girl Scouts ages 11-17, whisk you to the far corners of the Earth.
