2011 CFO Program – Creative Funding Opportunity
Whether to travel, play or service their communities, girls just want to have funds!
In 2010-11 GSNorCal partnered with Ashdon Farms to pilot a program for older girls to provide a creative new way to fund these opportunities. Based on the feedback from troops in our council, Ashdon Farms is now ready for us to launch this council-wide with the revised program. This year all Cadette through Ambassador girls have the opportunity to participate in this exciting program designed to provide them a more challenging and relevant product sales experience. The CFO, Creative Funding Opportunity, program helps girls learn business and communication skills, connect with their community, and discover their potential. Via an interactive website, the program is designed to:
§ Connect older girls to business resources in the community through direct contact during the sale.
§ Introduce older girls to career concepts as they meet with business contacts and learn about their customer and business practices.
§ Increase older girl troop proceeds for Take Action projects throughout the year by creating a business plan for their funding source.
The process is simple. Participating girls will have access to an online resource which will provide them all the tools they need to start their own online business as individuals or a troop! Girls will create their own web store where customers can purchase product online. There is no money to collect or product to deliver. Prices are all inclusive.
If your troop is looking to raise funds or would just like the challenge of a new exciting activity, please complete the attached application or email your information to your local Product Sales Director. Two options for training are tentatively scheduled for the week of September 19th. Please inform us of your interest no later than September 15th. Download your application now.
