The Girl Scout Fall Product Sale not only provides an opportunity for troops to earn money for the beginning of the year, it is also an important learning opportunity. While participating in the fall program this year, girls will set and achieve goals, improve their financial literacy, and learn about teamwork through activities based on this year’s theme, Investing in Today/Success for Tomorrow.
Care to Give Community Service Project
Care to Give is a council sponsored service project benefiting our local communities. Girls Scouts will offer its customers the option to purchase "virtual" nut and candy products for $5 each to be donated to local non-profit organizations. This year customers may choose to donate these products to the military or a local food bank. Girl Scouts of Northern California's council offices will make the arrangements to have the items delivered to the appropriate organizations.
New this year, customers may also choose to purchase $5 magazine vouchers to be donated to Northern California non-profit organizations.
How the Nuts Fall
We are offering 12 products ranging from $4 to $10. On average almost 50% of each product sold goes back to Girl Scouting.

CFO Program
Concurrent with our traditional fall sale nuts and candies, older girl troops, ages 13 and older, have the option to participate in a new sale program this year. CFO, short for Creative Funding Opportunity, is an online program which allows girls to develop a business plan for their own online business selling Ashdon Farms gift products. Girls will begin marketing their businesses October 1 and will receive credit for any purchases made online by December 31, 2011. Products offered online are different from our traditional line-up and will range in price from $25-$50. For your convenience these prices include tax and shipping. This is a great way to give a high quality gift for the holidays while also supporting your local girl scouts. Approximately 35% of the purchase price, after tax and shipping, goes back to Girl Scouting.
Individuals and businesses must have a Seller ID number to place an order. To connect with a girl in your area, email productsales@girlscoutsnorcal.org or call 1-800-447-4475, ext. 5095.
Magazine Subscriptions
In addition to offering nuts and candies, our Girl Scout Fall Product Sale includes offering magazine subscriptions through QSP. Girls may take orders directly from customers, or customers may order online, when a Girl Scout sends an online link to her friends and family members.
45% of magazine subscriptions sold goes back to Girl Scouting.
